superheros get molested too...

sometime in the 80s marvel made a special comic book to increase awareness about sexual abuse, featuring none other than your friendly neighborhood spiderman. in the comic spidey reaches out to a young boy who has been the victim of such abuse, by reciting a story about a time in his youth when an older friend named "skip" made some awkward, unwelcome advances. the "friend" asks young peter if he would like to view an erotic magazine with him, and maybe experiment with performing some of the elicit acts portrayed within. peter is, of course, unwilling, and does not indulge his predatory friend. the resounding emotions tortured young peter, as this was before he was bitten by the spider, and led to some serious issues with sexuality. the green goblin may have killed his girlfriend, but he never tried to fuck him. may this would-be statutory rapist be spidey's greatest nemesis? could the resulting mental trauma be what led spiderman to have so much anger and self doubt, which his symbiotic alien costume would feed off of, eventually leading to the creation of venom? would the marvel universe be a different place if skip had brought some good dope and gotten young peter really fucking high before he introduced him to the wonders of a forbidden homosexual affair?
this is why they'll never let me write an issue of "what if..."

  1. You know those crappy comics they have in porn mags? I remember one that MC Paul Barman drew that had Spiderman jacking off and shooting web out of his dick. I tried to find it, but no luck.
